What QRCrack is

QRCrack is a collection of 24+ free QR code generators covering every common use case: URL, WiFi, vCard contacts, UPI payments, WhatsApp messages, calendar events, Bitcoin and crypto addresses, SMS, email, phone numbers, geo-location, and plain text. Every generator is free, unlimited, and produces watermark-free output at up to 2000 by 2000 pixels in PNG or SVG format.

Why it exists

Most QR code generators on the web fall into one of three traps. They slap a logo watermark on your download. They force a signup and then throttle you behind a 14-day free trial. Or they silently route every scan through a dynamic redirect so they can harvest analytics and resell the data.

QRCrack avoids all three. There is no watermark. There is no signup for the static generators. Your data never leaves your browser because the QR matrix is computed locally using open-source libraries.

How it works technically

Every generator on the site runs entirely in your browser. We use the qrcode.js library for matrix encoding, HTML5 canvas for PNG export, and inline SVG for vector output. The server only serves static HTML and JavaScript bundles. There is no backend API for QR generation, which means the service is fast, private, and works offline once the page is loaded.

Exports go up to 2000 by 2000 pixels, which is enough for billboard printing at 300 DPI. SVG output scales to any size without loss.

Who built it

QRCrack was built by Aniket Nigam, a solo developer based in India. Aniket also runs PrepAiro, an IB exam preparation app, and a few other small developer tools. QRCrack started as a weekend project to replace a bookmark folder of mediocre QR sites and grew from there.

Roadmap

Static QR codes will always be free. The next milestone is optional dynamic QR codes with scan analytics, short URLs, and API access for teams. That feature will be a paid tier so the free site stays sustainable without ads being mandatory. Existing free users will keep all current functionality.
